covid info updates

COVID Update:

Starting on November 9th, grades 7-12 will start virtual learning due to the increase of COVID cases and the number of students being quarantined.  Virtual learning will last until November 20th.  Students that do not have access to the internet can attend school in person until hotspots are acquired.  Grades PK-6 will continue face to face learning unless there is an insurgent of student cases or number of students being quarantined.  In order for our custodial staff to do a deep cleaning and to give students and staff an extended Thanksgiving break, school will not be in session on November 23rd and 24th.  There will be no practices or games during the week of November 9th with the understanding that practices and activities will resume on November 16th.   School will resume for all students on November 30th.

Maysville school officials will continue to work collaboratively with the Tri-County Public Health Department and will follow their recommendations.  As we work to keep students and staff safe during this pandemic, we will share as much information as possible with you, while still following legal and ethical privacy rules.  Thank you for your understanding and patience during this challenging school year.

COVID-19 Event Rules and Regulations

There are some schools that are on our winter sport schedule that are limiting the number of fans allowed into their facilities. Opposing schools are supplying Maysville and other schools a set number of tickets to be distributed to fans who want to attend the event. Maysville athletes will be given a set number of tickets to give to family members. The remaining tickets can be obtained from the school in the Superintendent's office. You can reserve tickets for the next competition by calling 449-2308 and then pick them up at your convenience during school hours. A two ticket limit per person will be in effect. No one will be allowed into opposing schools’ facilities without a ticket.

For home sport activities, Maysville R-I is not limiting the number of fans. We will limit attendance for opposing team fans. We ask that you follow the set Maysville winter COVID guidelines that can be found on the Maysville webpage.
